I will be honest. Wedding cakes scare the #### out of me! This is a couple's special day (actually lets face it, this is a WOMAN'S special day), and they (SHE) wants it to be perfect. The last thing I would want is for the bride to be disapointed by the cake.
So I had an opportunity to make a wedding cake for a couple who had already gotten married and their family was having a small family reception with about 50 guests. They wanted a small two tiered cake with a fall theme. I made an amaretto cake with a white creamy frosting for the bottom tier and the top tier was an Italian cream cake with cream cheese frosting.
I was very pleased with the way it turned out. I hope the couple is happy as I was with the cake.
